2006 Topps Baseball Factory Set

This 659-card set was issued over two series. The first series was released in February, 2006 and the second series was released in June, 2006. The cards were issued in a myriad of forms including 10-card hobby packs with an $1.59 SRP which came 36 packs to a box and 10 boxes to a case. Retail packs consisted of 12-card packs with an $1.99 SRP and those cards came 24 packs to a box and 20 boxes to a case. There were also rack packs which had 18 cards and a $2.99 SRP and those packs came 24 packs to a box and three boxes to a case. There were also special packs issued for Target and Walmart. Card number 297, Alex Gordon, was pulled from circulation almost immediately, although a few copies in various forms of production were located in packs. In addition, Pete Mackanin and John Koronka cards were changed for the factory sets. This product has many sub sets including Award Winners (243-265); Managers/Team Cards (266-295, 586-615); Rookies (296-330), 616-645), Team Stars (326-330). Assorted Multi-Player Cards (646-660). A few Alay Soler cards were inserted into series two packs unannounced and those cards are very scarce.
