This Mount Saint Helens glass egg was created with ash from the eruption of Mount Saint Helen in the 1980’s. The Mount Saint Helens volcano in Washington state cataclysmically erupted. The eruption fed a towering plume of ash for more than nine hours. Ash from that volcano has been used to make magnificent art glass pieces since this time. Mount Saint Helens is still an active volcano in the Cascade Range of mountains in Washington state. The colors on this egg shaped sphere range from iridescent purples, greens and golds. It is approximately 2 inches tall and an inch and a half wide. The bottom is signed. Exquisite piece.
