Coir or Cocos is nature's wonder fiber that is extracted from the protective husk of the coconut. This golden fiber is spun into a wide range of yarns, then woven on small handlooms into a semi-finished form. The mats are then sheared, finished and printed with elegant designs. Coir products are exceptionally functional and virtually irreplaceable when it comes to economy, durability and beauty. Our Tuffcor coco mats are bonded to natural rubber through a custom made mold. These mats are handmade by compressing the coco mats using a hydraulic press. Shedding is considerably minimized with this application and the rubber backing gives the doormat an anti-skid feature.
