Specially formulated to aid in the removal of splints.Also used on curbs, spavins, windpuffs, thoroughpins, ringbone, sesamoiditis, sidebone, swelling. FRESH SPLINTS: Can typically be up to 60 days after initial appearance. Apply Splintex every 2nd -3rd day very lightly. Bandage with plastic cling wrap under a standing bandage. Do this for 15 days maximum. It is best to allow the horse total rest. OLDER SPLINTS: Interruption to the horses regular routine is usally not required. Apply in cycles of 3 days on, 2-3 days off, bandaging optional. Apply lightly. Continue treatment as long as necessary. Temporary scurfing and/or hair loss may occur following excessive application.
