Worn once.
A new proposal from Sillage as part of its sustainable initiatives: the "Artisanal Collection." Existing used clothing is deconstructed into square pieces. These are sewn together randomly to create a large piece of fabric. The fabric is then cut and sewn according to a pattern. One craftsman handles the entire process. Finally, a single artist hand-paints the numbering. Each item has a unique appearance. This collection offers value derived from a long process, giving new value to used items. The style is a reconstructed open-collar shirt, a summer staple for Sillage. The wide, draped silhouette is beautiful; we suggest pairing it with tucked-in pants for balance. This time, we purchased vintage US bedsheets, deconstructed them, and made the fabric before cutting.
