The device features a 50-centimeter celestial globe crafted from Plexiglas, nearly black but transparent in a darkened room, creating a striking spatial illusion. The globe, composed of two half-shells with a removable top, houses an electrically driven Tellurium that illustrates the Earth and moon's circulation around the sun. With the Baader Planetarium, you can showcase various astronomical phenomena, including Earth's orbit, lunar phases, eclipses, time systems, axial precession, constellation visibility, and more. Removing the solar sphere reveals a point light source, enabling star projection in a darkened room or using a projection dome. The globe rotates freely, allowing stars to be represented for any date and location on Earth.
