His head is porcelain, and his body is fabric stuffed and dressed in silky fabric. Painted shoes. He is posable, he is very charming when sitting down. Jaunty jester hat. This was described as clown or jester, but the face is not painted like a clown and his hat is a jester hat.These were often modeled after dell'arte, pierrot, and Harlequin. There are also clowns made along these same lines, I believe this one is a jester. Beautiful wide lace collar. The only thing affecting his condition is that his clothes are very wrinkled. I am not going to attempt to iron that vintage silk!
