Tiptree Preserves The preserve of good taste The Wilkin family has been farming at Tiptree, Essex, since 1757, and today the business is run by Peter Wilkin, great grandson of our founder. Our fruit crops include strawberry, raspberry, loganberry, mulberry, blackberry, morello cherry, rhubarb, damson, Victoria plum, greengage, quince and the curious medlar. We believe that we are unique in the world in growing this difficult crop, but it is worth it for its depth of taste. Our fruits are all still hand-picked and the farm is LEAF Marque accredited (Linking Environment And Farming), ensuring that we farm sympathetically with our environment and encourage links with our local community. Jams, Jellies, Preserves & Curd We inspect and prepare our fruit by hand then cook it in small batches using traditional, copper-bottomed pans. Our preserves are made to cherished recipes and are free from artificial colors, flavors and preservatives. Our delicious curds are made with care in our nut-free factory. Specialty Items Our world famous mini jars are found in five star hotels, luxury cruise ships and first class airlines. Our mini jars are also enjoyed at home and are the perfect size to take with you when travelling to ensure you are never without your favorite Tiptree variety! In addition to minis, we also produce a range of Christmas Puddings, Brandy Butter, Cranberry Sauce and more! The Infamous Little Scarlet Our signature fruit is the Little Scarlet strawberry, a tiny wild variety, originally brought to England by the Wilkin family in the early 1900’s. Fifty fresh, ripe Little Scarlet strawberries are gently cooked and packed into each glass jar within hours of being picked. The Little Scarlet, each no bigger than the size of a dime, is unique to Tiptree and grown only our farm. It's been grown for over a hundred years on our farms, prized for its intense flavor and fragrance. It's also secret agent James Bond's favorite preserve.

• Tiptree has been growing fruit & making preserves since 1885 in Essex County, England. We grow a wide range of traditional fruits on the farm right next to our factory, producing some of the highest quality preserves & marmalades the world has tasted.
• We use traditional techniques including cooking the fruit in small batches using copper pans to make the highest consistent quality – each batch produces only 150 jars of product.
