Beautiful vintage 1960's bright floral sleeveless Hawaiian waterfall maxi dress by HUKILAU FASHIONS in Honolulu. A hukilau is a traditional Hawaiian communal fishing method but also refers to festive gatherings. It combines "huki" (pull) & "lau" (leaves) representing a joyful community effort where everyone shares fish.
Dress has empire waist with lined crossover bodice & back zipper. The back is slightly longer than the front. The waterfall looks like it may have been altered with extra stitching but unless you go looking for it it's not noticeable (last pic). In very good condition.
No size tag; estimate size SMALL. Please compare approximate FLAT measurements to a dress that fits you well & give yourself room to move.
